Persistence

Persistence If there’s a relevant word for surviving this recession, it’s persistence. This financial downturn has lasted longer than anybody imagined it might, and plenty of jobseekers are becoming discouraged. In Think and Grow Rich, revealed in 1937, Napoleon Hill speaks of persistence as a vital high quality. He writes, “Without persistence, you may be defeated before you start. With persistence, you'll win.” Hill outlines the steps in creating a persistence mind-set. Here is my amended model of his record. History is filled with tales about people who succeeded after failing many times. We by no means hear about the individuals who gave up after one attempt. Here are a number of the concepts that Hill identifies as the opposite of persistence: A great instance comes from the updated version of Think and Grow Rich.Fred Smith first proposed his concept of overnight shipping in an economics class project (at Yale University) that he stated in interviews “most likely received one of m y usual C’s.” The story goes that the professor wrote on the paper “In order to get a better grade, the enterprise idea needs to be possible.” The paper went on to turn into the concept for FedEx. According to Wikipedia, for years, the sample package deal displayed within the firm’s print ads featured a return tackle at Yale. “Success consists of getting up only one more time than you fall.” ~Oliver Goldsmith Published by candacemoody Candace’s background includes Human Resources, recruiting, training and assessment.
